WARBIRDS LENTÄJÄN VAIMO
(Wife of a WarBirds pilot - Edu Kettusen Lentäjän poika)

Minä istuin sun näyttösi ääreen,
jäin ihmettä katselemaan
iso mies ampuu ruudulla hyppivää pilkkuu
niin innoissaan osuessaan.
Minä "ihailin" killiä hienoo,
minä nöyristä vaimoista nöyrin.
Ja kun vihdoinkin luulin et' nythän se riittää
jäit seuraavaa yrittämään.
Olin Warbirds lentäjän vaimo,
lähes leski siis iltaisin.
Vielä lentäisi roskiin joystickit ja muut
samaa tietä sun polkimetkin.
Minä nukahdin jalkojes ääreen
unen Warbirdsin lopusta näin:
Minä näin naisen niin huimapäisen
ja varman syöksyvän eteenpäin,
eteenpäin läpi johtojen verhon
kohta Warbirds on historiaa.
PC:n näyttökin sammui ja lenteli johdot
kun ne irtosi pistok'keistaan.

The 2 vs 2 duel was fought to its bitter end during saturday evening. Pairs were randomized. When they were ready
teams flipped a coin, winner picked a plane and all fought with it. Takeoff from same field, climb to 1 km to
opposite direction and merge wingtip to wingtip with the enemy pair. Judge called the merge null and void if
planes were not in tight formation or were not in 1 km altitude.
First elimination rounds were flown, so we could get the teams into manageable number for full ladder. The opponents were:
Julle+Kossu vs My+Itmo (109 F) - winner Julle+Kossu
Eni+Kouhia vs Kynkky+Cirrus (A6M) - winner Eni+Kouhia
Ohglid+PJK vs Jarru+Grendel (109 F) - winner Ohglid+PJK
Koko+Cosmo vs Harppa+Camo (Ki-43) - winner Koko+Cosmo
Then the semifinals:
Ohglid+Pjk vs Julle+Kossu - winner Ohglid+PJK
Eni+Kouhia vs Koko+Cosmo - winner Koko+Cosmo
Finals:
Ohglid+PJK vs Koko + Cosmo
WINNERS: KOKO AND COSMO
Not very surprisingly, Cosmo was commented to look like the younger brother of Sid Vicious.
His appearance is because he was dragged from sauna to the last round ;-)

Results of the aircraft recognition competition. The competition had some very hard planes. 24 in total. Results were:

I-153 Tsaikka, IL-2 Sturmovik, Hawker Hurricane, JaK-1, Bristol Beaufort, Morane Saulnier 406, Fiat G.50, P-40 M, P-39 Q, I-16 Rata, MiG-3, LaGG-3, Ki-44 Shojo/Tojo, Ki-84 Hayate/Frank, Messerchmitt 323 Gigant, Short Stirling, TA-152 (protests made that it was 190 D), Junkers Ju 188, Hawker Tempest MK.V, Heinkel 177 Greif, Focke Wulf 189 Uhu, Dornier Do 217, Bristol Blenheim Mk. I.
0-2 points were awarded for each answer. You gained 1 point for correct plane type (no subtype required) and additional extra if you knew the nickname, like Rata, Airacobra or Gigant, of the plane.
My and DDD showed extraordinary skill with the planes. Congratulations!

Winner, My of HävittäjäLentoLaivue 24 squadron, received whole bunch of Finnish Air Force Airmen's Guild publications and the special magazines Torjuntavoitto 1944 (Defence Victory 1944) and Torjuntavoitto Varmistetaan 1944-1945 (Defence Victory Secured 1944-1945), very rare material not available in any shops.
Second place, DDD_Buffalo of the DDD squadron (CFS2), recieved the special magazines and smaller pilot of the Guild magazines.
Shared third place guys, Kossu of the VirtuaaliLentoLaivue Icebreakers) & PJK of JG3, recieved a copy of the Guild magazine.
